Sweet Dreams 2022

In this project I was tasked with creating an augmented reality poster that would be played on a t-shirt when scanned with the app Artivive. In the Topics of Graphic Design class we were pushing the boundaries on what makes a poster a poster. For this particular project we focused on a part of our life that we wanted to educate others on therefore I did a topic I was struggling with at the time: Insomnia and sleep paralysis. My t-shirt features two graphics one on the front and one on the back. The front is meant to represent me in the daytime it is a logo I created for this project, it is meant to be playful. The back is demonstrates my experience with sleep paralysis and insomnia, these are extended side-effects from stress and anxiety I was experiencing in my life. It is much more intense than the front to give the viewer the same uneasiness I felt

Why They Stay Silent
2022

This is a 3-D poster expressing the harms of victim blaming. The way the first person reacts to a surviver of harassment or assault coming forward determines the next set of actions they take. Many of these comments can discourage survivors of assault from seeking justice and further damaging their mental health. The video and photos below of this piece shows how the words behind the panel of acrylic are eye catching from a distance, but once the viewer is drawn in closer to the piece they are able to see all the harmful expressions that keep victims silent.
